I have a fascination with stories related to WOII. My grand parents lived through this war, and as a child I have heard many stories and anecdotes of this period. What fascinates me most is that life doesn't stop during these times. People go on. Make the most of it. Marga Minco is one of my favourite writers. Her clean yet powerful style of writing emphasises all that is not being said in her books.
Marga Minco passed away in 2023 leaving behind the power of stories. My illustration is not made to be life like, but to emphasis that words matter, and have power.
