About me
Hi! I'm Esther Tabor - illustrator & print maker with a deep fascination for botanical illustration and food art. I can't help but fill my sketchbooks with plants, vegetables, fruit, insects and playful birds. Sometimes I zoom in on a single subject and give it an unexpected twist like my 'Ceci n'est pas un Mangue' print, but mostly I conjure up rich, detailed ink illustrations and translate them into colourful hand-pulled screen prints. On occasion I will do a small lino cut print as well.
I work from my studio in Helmond - the Netherlands- where all my products are shipped with care.
My story so far
After graduating in 2002 from university I started out as an urban planner and project manager, but I soon realised that what I had always truly wanted was to create things with my hands. So I made a bold decision: in 2005 I applied to the St. Joost School of Art & Design in Breda, and I got in.
During my studies I began working as a graphic designer, and have been helping commercial and non-commercial clients bring their ideas to life ever since. It was rewarding work, but in 2011 I discovered something that would change everything: a screen print workshop. The moment I made my first print, I was completely hooked.
It took a while to find my voice and find the time and space for my own creative endeavours. But in 2025 everything fell in place. I started combining my detailed, hand-drawn illustrations with screen printing and started selling my prints. And here we are! A beautiful website and an online shop.
My product range is slowly growing. I have lots of ideas to explore! Alongside my handmade screen prints I am exploring other printed goods as well. New pieces are added regularly to my shop. You can find all currently available prints and paper goods in my Etsy shop.
Find me on local Markets
All my lovely paper products are made in the Netherlands, either handmade by me or produced by small independent Dutch companies. I ship to most countries, but if you want to see me and my products in real life I am attending local markets throughout the year. I am also available for commissioned illustration work. Whether you are looking for illustrations in a book, magazine, commercial product, map or packaging project, I would love to hear about what you have in mind.
With years of experience as a graphic designer for both commercial companies and non-profit organisations, I bring more to a project than just the drawings. I can prepare artwork for print, add typography, or take care of the complete page layout — whatever your project needs. And if you are based in the Netherlands, I can even handle the full print production for you.
Every commission gets the same love for food, flora and hand-drawn detail that goes into my own work, and I enjoy collaborating closely with clients to create something that feels just right.
